I Hate Measles: A Summer Project for Shot@Life
http://youtu.be/ehdNbnECD6U I am very proud of this video announcing the amazing results of my summer philanthropy project.
Over the 12 weeks of summer, I partnered with my patient families to support ShotAtLife. This vaccine advocacy group allowed us to have a way to actively respond to the measles epidemic that affected our Kansas City community.
In just a few weeks, we collected $6,740. That is enough to protect 1,348 children against measles, a vaccine-preventable illness.
I am humbled by the generosity of my community while empowered by their support.
Continue this movement started in Kansas City by donating $5 for every vaccinated child in your life. Let the world know that we care about the children in our global families.
Because I hate measles, and I think you do too.
